The Super 4 clash of the Asia Cup 2025 turned into a nerve-wracking finale before Pakistan closed it out, thanks toa fiery spell from Haris Rauf. Struggling with cramps but charging in with determination, Rauf produced a triple strike that broke Bangladesh's lower order and swung the momentum firmly in Pakistan's favor. At the end of 176 overs, Bangladesh were reduced to 101 for 8, still 28 runs away with just 9 balls to spare. His figures of 3 for 21 in 2.4 overs underlined both grit and skill under pressure.

Pakistan's Shaheen Shah Afridi, right, celebrates with teammates after the dismissal of Bangladesh's Parvez Hossain Emon during the Asia Cup cricket match between Bangladesh and Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Chasing 136 for victory, Bangladesh lost early wickets as Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah set the tone. By the 16th over, they were reeling at 90 for 6, with Shamim Hossain fighting a lone battle. Rauf’s fiery burst then sealed their fate.
