MAOIST TERROR ‘A GRAVE SIN AGAINST YOUTH, END OF IT NEAR, SAYS PM MODI

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday declared that “Maoist terrorism is a grave injustice and a sin against the nation’s youth,” asserting that the day is not far when India will be completely free from Naxalism and Maoist violence.

PM Modi sharply criticized the Congress, alleging that “contractors of Maoist terror” and the “Congress ecosystem” suppressed the voices of victims and prevented national discourse on the issue.

“Maoist terror is a grave injustice to the youth of the country. I couldn't remain silent while our young people suffered. I'm sharing this pain with you today for the first time,” he said.

The Prime Minister highlighted the reduction in the number of affected districts under his government. He said that while 125 districts were once impacted by Maoist violence, today that number has shrunk to just 11 — with only three still severely affected.

“After 2014, our government made a sensitive and determined effort to bring misguided youth back into the mainstream,” he said.

PM Modi also mentioned a recent visit by victims of Maoist terror to Delhi, who appealed to the media and public to hear their stories. He criticized mainstream media and political forces for not amplifying their voices.
