Haryana marches on, tops in women NDA cadets too

After establishing its dominance in sports with the highest number of international women medal winners, Haryana has now emerged as the frontrunner in sending women cadets to the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA).
Out of the total 121 women cadets selected in NDA so far, 34 of them belong to the state.
As per the figures shared by the Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth in the Rajya Sabha, after Haryana tops the states. Uttar Pradesh is at the second position by sending 27 women cadets, Rajasthan 13, Maharashtra 11, Madhya Pradesh six. Whereas only four women cadets are from Punjab.
As per the figures, a total of 126 women cadets were selected and five of them, including one from Haryana, resigned.
