Fake Cardiologist Performs Over 50 Surgeries in Faridabad

In a shocking case of medical fraud, a man with only an MBBS degree allegedly posed as a heart specialist and performed over 50 heart surgeries in just eight months at Badshah Khan Civil Hospital in Faridabad.
The police have identified the accused as Pankaj Mohan Sharma. The investigators claimed that Sharma reportedly secured the job at the hospital's heart care centre—operated under a public-private partnership with Mediterina Hospital—by impersonating a real heart specialist, Dr. Pankaj Mohan.
He used the doctor's name and medical licence number, and also submitted forged documents and stamps claiming he held a DNB in cardiology.
