Expert panel marks world plastic surgery day, advocates ethical aesthetic care in India

Artemis Hospitals in Gurugram organized a panel discussion titled "New Age Cosmetic and Aesthetic Wonders" to mark World Plastic Surgery Day.
Featuring leading experts in dermatology, plastic surgery, gynecology, and digital media, the session focused on safe, inclusive, and science-backed cosmetic care. Adding a touch of humor, standup comedian Ms. Harpriya's witty performance had the audience laughing and thoroughly entertained.
The Department of Cosmetology and Plastic Surgery put on the session, which talked about how beauty standards are changing, why people choose certain looks, the rise in male clients, and the need for trained medical advice in a world where beauty trends are influenced by social media.
The day also recognized India's historical contribution to the domain, tracing plastic surgery's origins back to ancient physician Sushruta, and highlighting India's leadership role in starting World Plastic Surgery Day, now celebrated across the world on every July 15.
