Cong fumes over CRPF letter on Rahul's security protocol breaches
The Daily Guardian
|September 12, 2025
Even as the Central Police Reserve Force (CRPF) wrote to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge flagging repeated lapses in security protocol during his foreign trips, warning that such breaches could expose him to serious risks, the grand old party hit back asking if the government rattled by his truth as it made public release of the letter.
-
The Congress fumed after the CRPF wrote to Rahul Gandhi and Kharge flagging 'unscheduled trips' and breaches and violations of security protocol.
According to sources, in a letter to Kharge, CRPF flagged concerns over his security practices.
The force said that despite enjoying Z+ cover with an Advance Security Liaison (ASL) team, Rahul Gandhi has skipped mandatory protective measures on several occasions.
CRPF VVIP Security Chief Sunil June alleged that Rahul Gandhi was not taking his security cover "seriously" as he was mostly travelling abroad "without informing anyone".
