AP liquor scam: SIT uncovers Rs 78-cr laundering, arrests bullion trader

In a major breakthrough in the Rs3,500-crore Andhra Pradesh liquor scam, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has uncovered a sophisticated Rs77.55-crore money-laundering network allegedly executed through shell companies and bogus bullion transactions.
The investigation led to the arrest of Mumbai-based bullion trader Anil Chokhara, identified as Accused No. 49 in the case.
