A practical way to experience silence

In this world of so much noise, 'chaos' and 'crisis' are words we hear all the time.

Practising silence several times a day, even for a few seconds, keeps us charged.

Just the rush and the push of living sometimes makes us want to find an oasis where we can recharge, refresh, and relax ourselves. We can go on a holiday into the forest, or by the sea - and feel that relaxation.

But what about the day-to-day living, the responsibilities and challenges we have to face? We cannot just step away from all of those things. How can I create that inner oasis where there is relaxation and recharging? This is what practical silence is all about, because sometimes people think that silence is only for praying, for going blank, or even to become a little mindless.

There are different opinions and interpretations of silence, but practical silence is very filling - it fills me with the strength to be able to interact effectively and positively with life.
