Wadebridge join Penzance at top of Premier table on wet weekend

Some play was possible, mainly on the south coast and Tamar valley, allowing 20 of 72 games to be completed.

In the Premier Division, there are new leaders as Wadebridge join Penzance on 149 points but take over due to their one-run victory at St Clare in May. Penzance's home game with St Austell, as was St Just's against Redruth, was called off around 2.30pm.

Wadebridge took advantage to beat Grampound Road in a reduced-overs game at Egloshayle Road. It was reduced to 30 overs, with the Road dismissed with seven balls remaining for 135. From 53-4, Ravi Karunarathna made 38. Matt Lawrence wrapped up the tail to take 4-21. The target was revised to 122 from 27 overs. Matt Robins (44) and Lachlan Crump (32no) secured a seven-wicket victory with four overs to spare.

A 45-over game was possible at Truro, where Helston pulled off a superb win against the odds. Needing 219, they were 113-6 off 29 overs. A stand of 101 for the seventh wicket turned the tide, with Steve Jenkin making 92 off 91 balls, including 12 boundaries.
