South Africa continues to be a target of cybercriminals, ranking 27^th globally in the most breached countries in the second quarter of this year.

A new report by Surfshark has revealed that, so far this year, 369,600 accounts have been leaked.

The second quarter of the year saw one user account leaked every minute. Surfshark's report indicates that more than 21,000 accounts were breached between April and June - roughly three per 100,000 people.
