FORM: LIGHTLY RACED COLT HAS IMPRESSED MUZI AND HE SHOULD HAVE A LOT MORE TO OFFER

- Muzi Yeni

Palace Prince to take control

Racing tomorrow takes place on the Standside track at Turffontein and we have a nine-race card to preview. The headliner on the card is race 8, a MR 92 Handicap over 1800m.

I won't be riding at the meeting as I am serving a two-week suspension but I will be hoping to guide my followers in the right direction.

The suspension also means I won't be riding in the Gold Cup meeting at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday 27 July, which is a pity.

However, let us get straight on to tomorrow's card.

Race 1 is a Maiden Juvenile Plate for fillies over 1000m and I think Dondoyaki is the filly they all have to beat.

She had excuses in her last start but the form of her previous start sets the standard and a repeat of that will see her right there at the finish.

Windsor Silk showed good pace on debut before fading out but the drop in trip should suit and she rates the main danger.

Amazonian ran a decent race on debut in a race that could work out really well. With natural improvement, she is one for the shortlist.

Watch the betting and canter past for the best guide on the unraced runners.

Race 2 is a Maiden Juvenile Plate for fillies over 1400m and this is quite an open race.

I liked the way Amaze Me finished off her race last time out and based on that performance, she will love the step up in trip and she is the filly I think they have to beat.

Delaware River returns from a small break but steps up in trip

which could suggest she is close to peak fitness. She has some good form to her name and she is the immediate danger.

Top Shelf Teddy ran a fair race on debut in a fairly strong field.

She too steps up in trip after a small break so watch the betting for the best guide to her chances, but she needs to be on the shortlist.

Concordia jumps from a good gate but could be vulnerable to the more exposed fillies.
