Fatal Flaw Heads Up Entries for Fillies Guineas
The KwaZulu-Natal Champions Season kicks into full swing on Saturday with the usual curtain which features three Grade 2 races - the World Sports Betting Guineas and Fillies Guineas, both over 1600m, and the Independent On Saturday Drill Hall Stakes over 1400m.
There are a number of interesting runners entered into the three races but none more exciting than Cape Derby and WSB Cape Met winner Eight On Eighteen.
The three-year-old has been entered in both the Drill Hall Stakes and the Guineas but it is worth noting that trainer Justin Snaith has declared him to run against his own age group in the R750,000 Guineas with Richard Fourie once again in the irons.
Other nominations of note include Grade 1 Premier's Champions Challenge winner Fire Attack, trained by Alec Laird, Grade 1 Horse Chestnut Champion Cosmic Speed and Grade 1 SA Derby champion Legend Of Arthur, both trained by Sean Tarry.
Fatal Flaw, trained by Brett and James Crawford, heads up the entries for the R500,000 Fillies Guineas. This daughter of New Predator is currently in top form with wins in the Grade 1 Cape Fillies Guineas and the Grade 1 Empress Club Stakes, both over 1600m.
