Mandurah to make up for French defeat at Ripon

Mandurah can make the most of having her sights lowered in the Wilmot-Smith Memorial Handicap at Ripon today.

Simon and Ed Crisford's Kingman filly looked a smart prospect when making a successful start to her career on Newmarket's July Course last summer and only gave that theory more weight when beaten just a length into fourth place in the Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot.

She was unable to make an impact when stepped up to 1400m for the Oh So Sharp Stakes in October and was again well held on her return from nine months off the track in a Listed event in France in early July.
