Gibson the Right Guy at Fairview but Bank on Ferrie in KZN

There look to be some decent bets on the Fairview card, and none looks better than Guy Gibson, who makes his debut on for trainer Alan Greeff in Race 1, a Graduation Plate over 1400m.

The five-year-old son of Lancaster Bomber, remarkably, has only won two races and that gives him the opportunity to still race in a Graduation Plate, but the grey gelding has not won in 641 days.

Nevertheless, Guy Gibson, named for the leader of the famous Dam Busters raid on Germany in 1943, has held his form so well throughout his career that his merit rating, which was 102 in October last year, is still 100 today.
