Domestic killed on service road by bakkie on her way to work

A culpable homicide case has been opened and is being investigated following the death of a domestic worker.

This is according to Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko after Sophie Tlhako was killed on 14 July on her way to work, when she was allegedly run over by a Drain Surgeon bakkie on a service road in broad daylight.

Northcliff resident Jasmyn Marais said Sophie Tlhako was killed on 14 July on her way to work when she was allegedly run over by the bakkie.

Marais said she knew something was wrong when Tlhako, who had been working for the family for over four years, didn't arrive for work that Monday morning.
