ANC, enjoy the cake while it lasts

The January 8th statement will be delivered by President Cyril Ramaphosa in Rustenburg, North West, at the weekend. But the question is: will self-proclaimed undercover operative Brian Mogotsi, pictured, be attending the event?

In the past, the nation looked forward to the January 8th statement. However, that has changed. Many, including party members, have lost interest. Why? It makes no difference.

Truth be told, the ANC is losing its shine, if not already, and support.

What really happened, Cyril?

We are unlikely ever to know. Four years on, what happened at Phala Phala remains murky and, unusually for a man presumably keen to rebut the scurrilous accusations of his political enemies, the president has done everything possible to ensure that it stays that way.
