AmaKhosi are looking good

Successive victories since coming back after the mid-season break have lifted Kaizer Chiefs' fortunes and hold out promise for more positive results in their two matches this week.

AmaKhosi are looking good

Kaizer Chiefs' Lebohang Maboe is challenged by Zesco's Benedict Chepeshi in their CAF Confederation Cup group-stage game last Sunday. Chiefs' 1-0 win made them the first PSL team to beat Zesco at home and should give them lots of confidence for the return leg in Durban.

A 1-0 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows last week was followed by a similar triumph in Zambia last Sunday in the African Confederation Cup. Both had an element of good fortune about them, but they will serve as a major confidence booster ahead of tonight's trip to Marumo Gallants in Bloemfontein.

Despite playing away from home, there will be plenty of support for AmaKhosi in a rollicking atmosphere in Rocklands, which can only assist their cause.

Gallants have not won in their last seven fixtures, stretching back to late in October, and look to have lost the early season magic that saw them to the Carling Knockout final.

Another Chiefs win would put them right up with the frontrunners, especially after Orlando Pirates dropped points away to Sekhukhune United last Saturday.
