CHAMPIONS CUP: STORMERS, SHARKS FACING ICY CONDITIONS IN EUROPE
It is a demanding weekend for South African teams in the Champions Cup, with the Bulls battling poor form and the Sharks and Stormers heading into extreme European winter conditions.
Storm Goretti is set to bring below-freezing temperatures across the UK, with up to 30cm of snow forecast. The Sharks, who face Sale in Eccles tomorrow (7.30pm), and the Stormers, who meet Harlequins at Twickenham on Sunday (3pm), will contend with more than just their opposition.
There is also uncertainty over whether the Cheetahs' Challenge Cup clash with Ulster in Amsterdam on Sunday will go ahead.
The Stormers remain the best-placed South African side in the Champions Cup. They top Pool 3 on nine points, ahead of Leinster on points difference, after wins over Bayonne and La Rochelle.
