BUT FUNDING MIGHT NOT ARRIVE UNTIL 2031 AT THE EARLIEST, SAYS COUNCILLOR
THE Government is likely to finally approve plans to upgrade Moor Farm roundabout in Northumberland, according to a leading councillor.
However, the scheme looks set to be bumped into the next round of the Road Investment Strategy (RIS4) - which doesn’t get under way until 2031.

Speaking at Wednesday's meeting of the council, the Conservative councillor said the Government’s “tone” had changed and that “sources” said approval was now the likely option.
Coun Wearmouth’s comments came following questions from Cramlington Village councillor Mark Swinburn.
He said: “There seems to be an opportunity to push the Government to make a positive decision on Moor Farm Roundabout.
