|November 07, 2025
PLANS for the replacement of Gates-head's By the River Brew shipping container site on the Quayside have been unanimously approved by councillors.
Plans for a redevelopment of the site have been approved
The local authority's planning committee green-lit proposals, brought by the original team behind By The River Brew Co, which will see permanent structures replace the shipping container village.
The newly approved project will see the vacant HWKRMARKT shipping container street food market replaced with a new events venue.
The cafe and bike shop building will also be shrunk and redesigned into a bar with a new cafe, bar and restaurant building being constructed to replace the container brewery and eatery.
