Magpies in tribute to departing Lascelles'

NEWCASTLE
United said an emotional farewell to Jamaal Lascelles yesterday after his 12 years on Tyneside, writes LEE RYDER.Lascelles has joined Leicester City on a short-term deal until the end of the season, with the Foxes looking to shore up an injury-hit defence that has failed to keep a clean sheet in 24 matches.
Despite going through an injury nightmare in the last couple of seasons, centre-half Lascelles still got to live the dream of lifting a trophy as Newcastle skipper.
That came last March when he was invited to raise the Carabao Cup with Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier.
From Tranmere to Borussia Dortmund and from seeing fans flock in their thousands from Rotherham to the San Siro, Lascelles has been part of the journey at Newcastle.
