STRIKER Alex Reid admitted he would love to see Nicky Featherstone become permanent manager of Hartlepool United after scoring in Saturday's home win against struggling Truro City.

Interim boss Featherstone boosted his chances of converting his spell in charge of Pools into a permanent reign by leading his side to a seventh game unbeaten and one that has taken them to within four points of the top seven.

Pools got themselves in front midway through the first-half with a stunning strike from former Newcastle United and Gateshead forward Adam Campbell as he continued his own fine run of form.
