Home double header is welcomed by Heed boss

ALUN Armstrong has insisted Gateshead will keep their feet on the ground after they enjoyed an impressive bank holiday weekend.

The Heed bounced back from a chastening midweek visit to Rochdale as they suffered a 4-0 defeat at the Crown Oil Arena by taking maximum points from a home game with Tamworth and Monday’s long trip to Yeovil Town.

Two goals from on-loan Doncaster Rovers midfielder Will Flint were enough to help Armstrong’s men to a 2-1 home win against the Lambs before the Heed produced a stunning turnaround to secure a second away win of the season at Yeovil.

After finding themselves three goals down when the halftime whistle was blown at Huish Park, second-half strikes from Frank Nouble and Kyle Hurst and a brace from Kain Adom helped Gateshead to the most dramatic of wins.
