A HIT-AND-RUN driver has admitted being causing death by dangerous driving in a heartbreaking case which saw a promising law student killed.

Abigail Eggleston, 22, was crossing the A167 at Neville's Cross, Durham, in the earlier hours of October 26.
She was hit by a Volkswagen Golf driven "at speed" the police said, and the driver was Liam Bowes, 37, of Kelloe.
Bowes appeared at Durham Crown Court on Tuesday, November 25, and admitted a series of criminal charges relating to the Durham University student's death.
