Help families with donations to baby bank

THE Wallsend baby bank has shared the key items that people should donate this Christmas period as well as explaining other ways that people can help.

Tyneside Community Shop's racks of clothes and toys include products for both children and adults, with a range of prices.

The charity shop, which also provides resources for people to sit in and stay warm if they need it, helps to provide things that the people within its community need the most.

Founded by Shakira Robson and Melanie Rae just two years ago, it has grown to have a team of 14 dedicated volunteers.

We visited the charity at the beginning of last week, and on its mission, Shakira said: "What we do here is we fulfil the gap that food banks don’t fulfil. So we provide everything else a family might need.
