Group charged over violence at home of Sayers

A GROUP of men are due to appear in court accused of conspiracy to commit violent disorder over an incident at the home of John Henry Sayers.
Sayers was said to be at home with his children when the disturbance happened at around 4.20pm on June 16, 2022.
It was reported to police that several windows and parked vehicles at the property, on the Fossway in Byker, Newcastle, had been damaged.
A total of 65 people have since been arrested and questioned by detectives.
And now 25 men have been charged, The Chronicle can reveal.
The men, all aged between 23 and 42, will appear before South East Northumberland Magistrates Court next month. They each face one charge of conspiracy to commit violent disorder.
