Getting inked can be a shot in arm for charity this Christmas

Previous donations as part of the tattoo studio's Christmas campaign

David Ashdown, 46, runs 1920 Tattoo Studio on Station Road, and is doing something special this festive period for the third year running.

Starting on Saturday, David requests that people bring their donation, worth at least £50, with a receipt, in exchange for his services.

With more than 120 tattoos given out and the equivalent of £7,000 in donations over the campaign’s first two years, he is keen to continue to support North Tyneside’s The Bay Foodbank.
