Father and son to be laid to rest together

A father and son killed in a car crash will be laid to rest at a joint funeral.

Loved ones of Peter Webb, 40, and his 12-year-old son Benjamin, are preparing to say their last goodbyes next month.

Peter and Benjamin died at the scene after the collision, which happened on John Reid Road in South Shields last month.

Their funeral will be held at South Shields Crematorium at 9am on October 6.
