Excited Mariners boss urges fans to 'make the difference'

SOUTH Shields manager Ian Watson has issued a rallying call for supporters as his side look to cause a major FA Cup upset by sending League Two strugglers Shrewsbury Town out of the competition.

The Mariners have made a strong start to their first season under the former Gateshead and MK Dons assistant manager and will head into Sunday lunchtime's tie on the back of just one defeat in 16 games.
With ticket sales now making their way towards a possible sellout at the Ist Cloud Arena, Watson is hopeful the Mariners faithful will make life uncomfortable for their visitors. He said: “We spoke loads about how good the boys have been with the football they play and we want to try and fill this stadium out as much as we can.
