European spot's within Sunderland's grasp

EX-Chelsea, Everton and Scotland winger Pat Nevin reckons Sunderland can compete for a European spot this season.
The 62-year-old pundit also admitted he was wrong about Regis Le Bris’ side who have proved him wrong.
Speaking to CasinoHawks, Nevin, was adamant that the Black Cats have what it takes to make it into Europe this season which would be a remarkable feat given they were tipped for relegation at the start.
“T am comfortable in saying that Sunderland can compete for Europe)” Nevin suggested. “Before the start of the season, many people, yours truly as well, would have said they'll be fighting against relegation.
