ROB Elliot admitted he is keen to continue adding to his Gateshead squad - but stressed he is not currently close to any new additions.
The former Newcastle United and Republic of Ireland goalkeeper handed home debuts to new signings Sam Bowen, Levi Amantchi and Keaton Ward in Saturday's defeat against Rochdale.
Louis Storey, Mark Beck and Billy Chadwick also made appearances as Elliot's men produced an improved display before falling 2-0 to a Rochdale side competing for the National League title.
A goal in each half from debutant Manny Duku and Ryan East were enough to hand the points to the visitors, but there was no question Gateshead showed serious signs of improvement from their pre-Christmas struggles.
