Friday the 13th skydive holds no fear for Bernard

- By SAM VOLPE Health reporter sam.volpe@reachplc.com

A MAN is defying superstition to take on a charity skydive on Friday the 13th.

Retiree Bernard Morley, 69, is to take on the challenge to support Catholic aid agency CAFOD.

Having previously taken on the charity's "Big Lent Walk" challenge - which sees fundraisers asked to walk 200km over 40 days - he decided to take on something more dramatic for 2026. As a result he will be jumping out of a plane in County Durham.
