MP JUSTIN Madders has got to the bottom of what is causing the unpleasant odours in Ellesmere Port during recent weeks.
Mr Madders, who represents Ellesmere Port and Bromborough, has been in regular contact with the Environment Agency (EA) after receiving complaints from residents.
The EA has now confirmed it believes the potential source of the odour has been identified at a nearby industrial site.
However, the company involved has not been named for legal reasons.
