CofE school 'ambitious' says Ofsted inspection

A CHURCH of England school in Chester was found by Ofsted to be 'highly ambitious!
The view was reached at the Bishop's Blue Coat Church of England High on Vaughans Lane, Great Boughton, by lead inspector Gary Kelly.
The inspector said the school was 'highly ambitious' for pupils’ academic and personal achievements. They achieve well, including those who are disadvantaged, and students in the sixth form attain suitable qualifications.
The school has 'clear routines' to support pupils' positive behaviour and attitudes. There is a calm, purposeful atmosphere and pupils are courteous, respectful and behave well in lessons and during social times. They benefit greatly from 'many opportunities' to develop their skills, talents and interests and there is a wide variety of extra curricular activities.
