Natasha Arraigned for Defamation, Gets N50m Bail

Suspended Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, was on Thursday arraigned before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, over alleged defamation of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.

The Office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) filed a three-count criminal charge against her, accusing her of making harmful and defamatory statements during a televised interview.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, who arrived at the court alongside her husband and a crowd of sympathisers, pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
