Air Peace Airlifts 5,000 Pilgrims in Phase One of 2025 Hajj Operations

Air Peace, West and Central Africa's largest airline, has successfully airlifted 5,000 Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, completing the first phase of its 2025 Hajj operations on May 24, 2025.

The airlift began on May 9 with the National Inaugural Hajj Flight from Owerri Airport, Imo State, attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The airline operated flights for pilgrims from 15 Nigerian states and the Armed Forces using multiple airports, including Abuja, Lagos, Maiduguri, Yola, Ilorin, Owerri, and Port Harcourt.
