Vietnam tourism authority unveils digital travel ecosystem

Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, through its Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), is spearheading a robust digital transformation initiative aimed at creating a smart tourism ecosystem.

This strategic endeavor aims to enhance state management efficiency and elevate the overall tourist experience. The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported on the key components of this transformative ecosystem, including platforms like the Vietnam Travel Management and Business System, the Vietnam Travel app, a smart tourism card, and a noteworthy electronic ticketing system.

The latest development in this digital transformation journey involves a collaboration between the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts and the VNAT's Tourism Information Technology Center. Together, they have launched an electronic ticketing system, a significant step towards modernizing the visitor experience. This system eliminates the need for visitors to wait in queues at ticket counters, offering a streamlined process with various user-friendly self-check-in options.

Previously, the electronic ticketing system had been successfully deployed at prominent cultural and historical sites, including the Temple of Literature, the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace relic site, and Quan Thanh Temple.

This widespread implementation reflects the commitment of the tourism sector to leverage digital solutions for the benefit of both tourists and administrative efficiency.
