On Thursday, the government has extended the deadline for implementation of a special procedure for registration and monthly return filing for manufacturers of pan masala, gutkha, and similar tobacco products to May 15th.
Earlier, in January 2024, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) announced the rollout of a new registration and monthly return filing process, effective April 1, 2024.
