Supreme Court stays death sentence of man convicted for killing mother

The Supreme Court in the case Sunil Rama Kuchkoravi Versus The State Of Maharashtra observed and has stayed the death sentence of a man who is being convicted for brutal killing of his own mother and eating her organs.

The bench comprising of Justice Surya Kant, Pankaj Mithal and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan was hearing the present matter.
The bench in the case passed the order and has issued notice to the State of Maharashtra.
In the present case, the petitioner-Sunil Kuchkoravi killed his mother in August 2017.
Sunil Kuchkoravi was arrested after a neighborhood child found him standing near his mother's body, covered in blood stains.
