Sri Lanka's Cabinet has taken a significant step in revitalizing its tourism sector by approving a policy that grants free tourist visas to visitors from India and six other nations. The decision was announced by the country's Foreign Minister, Ali Sabry, on Tuesday, reflecting the government's efforts to rejuvenate the economy and overcome the challenges posed by heavy debts. The new policy is set to be implemented as a pilot project and will remain in effect until March 31, 2024.
