Railways committed to fasttrack Agartala-Akhaura project

The Indian Railways is actively working towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of the ‘Act East Policy’ and ‘Neighbourhood First Policy’ by implementing various new railway line projects that connect neighbouring countries.

One of the crucial projects that exemplify this effort is the Agartala-Akhaura international connectivity rail line project between India and Bangladesh, which is currently in an advanced stage of completion. The construction work for this railway project is progressing rapidly, aiming to establish a connection between Agartala, the capital city of Tripura, and Akhaura in Bangladesh.
