Odisha approves Rs 80,125 cr for 7 projects

Odidisha government has greenlit seven major projects worth Rs 80,125 crore across various sectors, following approval from the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

These investments are poised to generate employment for approximately 24,552 individuals across districts including Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Ganjam, and Bhadrak.

Key among the approved projects is Granules Life Sciences Private Limited's proposal to establish a pharmaceutical unit in Ganjam district's Tata SEZ, with an investment of Rs 1,100 crore, aiming to produce 4 billion units of paracetamol, metformin, ibuprofen, and other pharmaceutical products, generating jobs for around 1,500 people.

Additionally, Granules CZRO Private Limited is set to establish a chemical plant at Tata SEZ with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore, creating jobs for approximately 1,000 people. EG Solwin Hybrid Private Limited will invest Rs 6,330 crore to establish a 0.30 MT green ammonia production unit, employing 1,050 individuals.

Further, ACME Greentech Urja Private Limited will initiate an integrated manufacturing unit in Khurda to produce solar power panels, investing Rs 36,000 crore and employing around 6,300 people.
