Nestle's well-known product Maggi will be sold in packets for Rs 10 in an effort to increase market share and fend off competition. This decision was made in an effort to regain lost market share in smaller cities and villages at an alluring pricing. According to the article, the Indian division of the Swiss business had increased the price of 100 grams of Maggi from Rs 10 to Rs 12 in December 2014, which was then updated to Rs 14 in February 2022 to account for an increase in input costs. The newest Rs. 10 pack will only weigh 40 grams and is intended for "Rurban" (rural and small markets) markets in 15 states.
