MOS Chandrasekhar unveils skill training programme in Tripura

Union Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, announced the launch of the ‘Heartland Tripura’ project aimed at providing skill training to the youth of the northeastern state.

Chandrasekhar emphasized that Tripura has faced challenges in terms of physical infrastructure, digital connectivity, and a skilled workforce over the past several years. However, he acknowledged significant strides made in digital connectivity in the northeastern region over the last six to eight years. The ‘Heartland Tripura’ program aspires to catalyze transformation, making the state of Tripura and the entire northeastern region more attractive to investment and job opportunities.
