On Tuesday, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena nominated Delhi Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Kailash Gahlot to hoist the national flag at the official Independence Day event at Chhatrasaal Stadium on August 15, 2024, marking the 78th Independence Day.
