IndiGo soars to third place among global airlines after stock price boom

InterGlobe Aviation, the operator of Indigo airline, has witnessed a remarkable surge in its stock value, reaching record highs on Wednesday.

Trading at Rs 3,801 apiece in afternoon trading, the company's shares marked a 5% increase, extending its winning streak for the fourth consecutive day.
This surge in share value has propelled InterGlobe Aviation to become the world's third-largest airline by market capitalization.
Over the past month alone, the stock has surged by an impressive 22%, leading to a total market value surpassing Rs 1,46,000 crore ($17.5 billion), as reported.
In December 2023, InterGlobe Aviation achieved another milestone by surpassing United Airlines, securing its position as the sixth-largest airline globally.
