Indian business tourists increasingly flock to Moscow

Moscow sees a surge in Indian business tourism, with the last two years witnessing significant growth in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) segment from India. This information was shared by Evgeny Kozlov, Chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee, at the Business+Leisure Travel and MICE 2023 event held in New Delhi.

In his keynote address, Kozlov noted the heightened interest among Indian businessmen in Moscow as a prime destination for business-related events. A major facilitator has been the electronic visa program, launched on August 1, 2023. With this e-visa, Indian visitors can enjoy a simplified application process without the need for embassy visits and can stay in Russia for up to 16 days.
