If delimitation done on 2027 census, southern states' power will be reduced to irrelevance

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief MK Stalin on Friday targeted the BJP-led central government saying the Census delay is no accident, the delimitation plan is no coincidence and the danger he warned of is at doorstep.
He also said that if the Centre proceeds with delimitation based on 2027 census, "the democratic power of peninsular India will be reduced to irrelevance".
Stalin's remarks came days after the Centre announced that it will complete the Census in March 2027.
In a post on X, Stalin said, "The Census delay is no accident. The delimitation plan is no coincidence. The danger I warned of is at our doorstep. Fair Delimitation - Oraniyil Tamil Nadu."
