In line with poor stocks, the aggregate market worth of six of the top ten most valuable companies fell by Rs 1,73,097.59 crore last week, with HDFC Bank and Life Insurance Corporation of India suffering the biggest losses.
The BSE benchmark fell 1,213.68 points, or 1.64 percent, last week.
HDFC Bank's market value dropped to Rs 10,93,026.58 crore from Rs 60,678.26 crore.
