Gold nanoparticles can help arrest aging, European researchers
The Business Guardian|March 09, 2024
In a significant validation of ancient Indian Ayurvedic practices regarding the use of gold nanoparticles, also known as gold bhasma, in skincare, a team of European researchers in a study has affirmed the efficacy of these elements in combating aging.

Researchers from Paris University in France claimed in the study that gold nanoparticles used in medicines and beauty products not only protect the skin from external infestations but are also capable of arresting the effects of aging.

Demand for such beauty products is already on the increase across the world as well as in India.

The study published in the science journal Elsevier says that solar ultraviolet rays, pollution, and cigarette smoke damage the cells of skin. The pollutants damage the epidermal and fibroblast cells of the skin leading to dryness, infection, and inflammation in the skin, while beauty products enriched with gold nanoparticles have the efficiency to protect these cells from damage.
